Lake Placid Marathon Team Relay Information
Four person marathon relay categories:
- Female Open (159 total years or less)
- Female Masters (160 total years or more)
- Male Open (159 total years or less)
- Male Masters (160 total years or more)
- Mixed Gender Open (159 total years or less)
- Mixed Gender Masters (160 total years or more)
Prizes will be awarded to the first three teams in each category.
The first runner from each team must be present at the starting line while the second, third, and fourth runners must be staged at the Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds. It will not be possible for the second runner, in particular, to be present at the starting line for the start of the race.
Shuttle buses will be running between the Lake Placid High School (start/finish area) and the Lake Placid Horse Show Grounds (relay transfer zone).
It will be possible for the first, second, and third runners to take the shuttle bus back to the finish line to see their final runner finish.
Secure dry clothes bags will be stored at the finish area and the relay transfer zone.
***Relay teams are urged to pick-up race packets on Saturday to avoid confusion on race morning.
Each relay runner must sign-in at registration at some point.
Checking-in on Saturday will allow a team to park at the Horse Show Gounds on Sunday morning with only the first runner taking the shuttle bus to the starting line.
